Nothing spoils a fresh pair like the wrong size. Too tight, and your toes go cry before the owambe reach midnight. Too loose, and your heel dey slip with every step.
Good news: you fit avoid all of that with a ruler, a wall, and about five minutes. Here is how to measure your foot at home and pick the right Karpos size, step by step.
What You Need
- A ruler or tape measure
- A flat-edged object, like a book
- A wall or any straight edge
- The kind of socks you plan to wear with the shoes
Step 1: Measure Your Foot Length
Stand on a level floor with the back of your heel against a wall or straight edge. Place a ruler flat on the floor, running straight alongside the inside of your foot from your heel to your toes.
Now lay your flat-edged object straight across your toes, so it touches the tip of your longest toe. Read the number on the ruler where the edge crosses it. That number is your foot length.
No ruler on hand? Try the paper trick. Stand on a sheet of paper with your heel against the wall, mark the tip of your longest toe, then measure from the edge of the paper to your mark.

Step 2: Pick Your Size
If your measurement lands halfway between two sizes, choose the larger one. Also, measure both feet. It is perfectly normal for one foot to be a little longer than the other, so go by the longer foot.
Our sizes run in whole numbers. Most of our men’s styles come in sizes 39 to 47, and most of our women’s styles in 37 to 43.

Tips for a Better Measurement
- Measure later in the day, when your feet are at their biggest.
- Stand while you measure. Your foot spreads out when it carries your weight.
- Wear the socks you will actually wear with the shoes.
- Ask a friend or family member to help read the ruler. It is easier to see the toe tip that way.
Common Mistakes To Avoid
- Measuring only one foot.
- Measuring first thing in the morning, before your feet have settled for the day.
- Assuming your size in another brand is your size here. Sizing varies from brand to brand, so always measure.
- Measuring in thick socks, then wearing thin ones (or the other way round).
Quick Questions
What if I am between sizes? Go for the larger one. A little extra room beats a pinched toe.
Do all styles fit the same way? Laced styles like Oxfords and Derbys give you some room to adjust with the laces. Slip-ons like loafers have no laces, so getting the size right matters even more.
